So the organized event was the basis for national and regional cooperation, networking and joint advocacy, and directly enabled the building of partnerships with identified actors, so the participants from the region had the opportunity to get acquainted with the situation of Roma in the countries of the EU from the environment and achieved results in those countries before and during the EU accession, which leads to the conclusion that the countries in the accession process have easier access to funds for solving the Roma issues that need to be used before accession.
One of the most important segments discussed was the strategy of the Roma women’s security issue.
Intensified work on informing the public, the cooperation of institutions, the civil sector, Roma / Roma women regarding their collective and personal security and the development of a security culture has been proposed. Initiate and implement educational and other campaigns in order to create the effect of social solidarity that would be a force that will use negative beliefs and traditional attitudes of the community that to some extent tolerate the negative trends of violence against women and increase the level of information of Roma women to their rights.
